DESCRIPTION

A FLAGSHIP-GRADE HEADPHONE MADE WITH PASSION AND THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY

Meze Audio has collaborated with Rinaro Isodynamics to bring you the new Elite Isodynamic Hybrid Array headphone. The Elite is a result of two passionate companies coming together to give you an audiophile-grade headphone. Combining outstanding mechanical design and ergonomics from Meze Audio with the signature technology and acoustic engineering by Rinaro, ELITE is here to set a new standard in flagship-grade headphone performance. Combining an exclusive aesthetic with state-of-the-art engineering, ELITE delivers an accurate, authentic listening experience ready to meet the highest expectations of the proficient audiophile.

RINARO ISODYNAMIC HYBRID ARRAY DRIVER SETUP FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION AUDIO

The Meze Audio Elite features newly designed custom drivers made by Rinaro Isodynamics. The new driver builds on the pioneering technology of the flagship MZ3 driver found in the Empyrean headphone. The innovative Isodynamic Hybrid Array technology delivers superior acoustic performance and has ultra-low distortion. Innovative low mass acoustic diaphragm with the ultra-thin semi-crystalline film has opened the doors to even higher resolution and accuracy of the sound reproduction, setting a new benchmark in headphone design.

ULTRALIGHT, HIGH-QUALITY NEODYMIUM MAGNETS HOUSED IN A REINFORCED POLYMER CASING

Neodymium magnets are arranged into a hybrid array setup on both the sides of the ultralight diaphragm. The magnets placed creates an efficient Isodynamic magnetic field ensuring uniform activation across the entire surface. The reinforced polymer housing is designed to withstand the demanding load generated by the Hybrid Magnet Array.

PATENT-PENDING PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION HEADBAND DESIGN FUSED WITH A CNC ALUMINUM FRAME

Meze Audio Elite employs an innovative headband design that reduces the amount of pressure on your head. The Elite features a patent-pending suspension wings support system that increases the contact of the headband to your head. The headband is made of carbon fibre material with leather headrests added to the frame for an ultra-light feel. The chassis is sculpted from one piece of CNC aluminium featuring a highly complex geometrical pattern to look gorgeous as well as control the airflow between the chassis and driver. This gives you natural transparency in the sound and provides a comfortable listening experience.

RINARO PARUS DIAPHRAGM AND TWO EAR PADS ALLOWING PERSONAL CALIBRATION OF SOUND

Maze Audio Elite come equipped with Rinaro Parus low mass acoustic diaphragm built on an ultra-thin biaxially oriented semi-crystalline polymer film. The polymer is produced with bespoke sequential biaxial lengthening technology, a process that involves stretching the polymer in transverse directions at elevated temperatures to improve structural performance. The Meze Elite headphones also come with two uniquely shaped earpads developed by Rinaro to allow for personal calibration of the sound signature. Of the two included earpads, the Alcantara is a well known 30mm deep earpad and the leather + Alcantara hybrid ear cushions are a new addition to our earpad family, perfectly balances the qualities of Alcantara and leather into a single design.

COMBINATION OF SWITCHBACK AND SPIRAL VOICE COILS FOR PRISTINE SOUND

The Elite headphones combine power output delivered using a magnet array design, combined with a switchback and spiral voice coils. This unique combination generates an increased exposure of direct sound wave frequencies over the 112kHz range, improving imaging and localization by reducing the impact of shortwave time delays caused by diffused field reflections. The switchback coil is more e?cient at reproducing lower frequencies and is positioned in the upper part of the driver and the spiral coil is more e?cient at reproducing middle-high frequencies and is positioned directly over the ear canal, enabling more direct sound waves to enter the ear without any time delays.

INNOVATIVE EAR PAD TECHNOLOGY OFFERING MAGNETIC FIELD PROTECTION

All drivers create a magnetic field when used. Meze Audio comes up with an innovative design feature developed by Rinaro – the Isomagnetic earpad attachment utilises the demagnetizing field generated by the driver to hold the earpad in place whilst redirecting the magnetic field back into the driver and improving driver efficiency. The Elite features special ferromagnetic ear pads that reduce the magnetic field while the ferromagnetic plates channel 12% of the magnetic field back into the driver improving its efficiency. It deflects an additional 95% of stray fields away from the head. An Isomagnetic? ear cup uses this magnetic field to hold the earcups in place.

The warranty period on all Meze Audio products is 2 years. Read more about Meze warranty. Which drivers are used in Meze ELITE? The Meze ELITE is loaded with Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array? drivers. The drivers have been hand-assembled and tested in the Rinaro industrial facility in Ukraine. How is the build quality of Meze ELITE? The chassis of the headphone is made of lightweight and durable carbon fibre and CNC aluminium. The body is sculpted from one solid piece of aluminium and features complex geometrical patterns to look gorgeous. Does the Meze ELITE require an amp? Yes, it does require amplification. You can check out our collection of amplifiers and DACs here. Does the Meze ELITE come with a travel case? Yes, it does come with a Professional travel case. Can the Meze ELITE be used for gaming? No, these headphones are not meant for gaming. Is the Meze ELITE foldable? No, you cannot fold the headphones but you could definitely detach the cable for portability. How is the overall fit? Meze ELITE comes with an adjustable headband so that it firmly and comfortably cradles your head. Does the Meze ELITE come with a mic? No, the Meze ELITE does not come with a mic. What is the impedance on the Meze ELITE? The Meze ELITE comes with the impedance of 32?. What do ?Impedance? and ?Ohms? mean? Impedance is the so-called alternating-current resistance that headphones have under specific standard conditions. On devices with low output impedance, headphones are the louder, the lower their impedance is. In principle, we recommend that you choose headphones with low impedance for use on devices that are operated by battery/rechargeable battery (i.e. most portable devices such as smartphones, tablet computers but also notebooks). You can distinguish between high and low impedance. Usually, the gradations 18 ?, 32 ?, and 80 ? are used in the low range. In the high range, 250 ? are common. If you want to get the most out of your system (and it has the power to do so), choose a model with 600 ?. Warranty & Media Reviews 2 Year Warranty Don't sweat it, this Meze ELITE comes with a 2 year warranty from Meze that covers manufacturing defects.
